Erich is a native Virginian who grew up in Hanover County. He has always had a passion for vehicles, European cars especially. This led him to an apprenticeship at Richmond BMW while attending Richmond Technical Center in 1999, which kicked off his impressive 20 year career in the industry. The following year, he gained further experience at an independent Porsche shop.
On the next step in his career, Erich earned his degree in Business Administration from New River Community College in Southern VA. In 2005, his wife, Devlyn, was accepted into Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts/Nevis. She and Erich moved there and Erich, armed with his knowledge gained from his degree and a few years of automotive repair under his belt, started his own business repairing cars. Devlyn graduated in 2009 and the couple eventually returned back to Virginia.
Finding themselves settled in Richmond, Erich became the head technician for Marcus Motorsports, a Grand American Road Racing team, racing Porsche 996's. While there, he also started working for Autometrics Motorsports as a fly-in technician working PCA events and Grand-Am racing events—including 24 hours at Daytona. Erich ended his employment at Marcus Motorsports to work at Richmond BMW. He continued working there as well as his job with Autometrics until moving to the Charlottesville area in 2013. He worked at an independent European repair shop until the end of 2018, when he, Troy, and Ryan decided to open Euromotive.
Erich and Devlyn have two girls together. In his free time, Erich enjoys spending time with his family, working on his farm in Madison County, and attending car events.
